Lasso Tools

Lasso tools are used to add freehand selections. This tools panel contains three tools.

• Lasso tool
• Polygonal lasso tool
• Magnetic lasso tool

This tools are the most important tools in adding selections. There are few reasons for that. The first one is these are freehand tools except of the Magnetic lasso tool. You can select any shape using Lasso tool or polygonal lasso tool. The Magnetic lasso tool is little bit different with the other two. It is used to select an object which has a clear color difference with the background.

Magnetic lasso tool

This tool is provided to make your work easy. Actually this tool is not good for select the objects which do not have a vast color difference with the background. But the will work good with the others. The selection method is little bit difference with the Marquee tools but after the selection it is same with the Marquee tools. So if you do not know about marquee tools read it here. Simply follow the steps below.

1. Open an image with those qualities or download the image below and open it with Photoshop.

2. Select the Magnetic Lasso tool.
3. Then click once on the edge of the dog and move it along the edge. (watch the screen shot below)

4. End the selection by clicking on the started anchor point.
5. It's done.
